A couple of weekends ago, I was beyond delighted to have Heather and Travis over to the house for a maternity session. I shot Heather and Travis’ wedding last year, so it’s such a blessing to record another fabulous milestone in their lives as they are about to become parents!
Both of them looked tickled pink about the baby and Travis pointed at Heather’s belly and said that he was ready for their little one to come out. Heather is such a pretty girl - she definitely has the “glow” around her. It was precious and such a blessing to experience their joy. A special congrats to Heather and Travis - I can’t wait to see pics of their little girl! Below are some of the photos from the session (click HERE to see a slideshow):

I shot Natalie and Chris’ wedding last weekend, which means that it’s now safe to post Natalie’s fabulous bridal shots. The day before I met Natalie at the country club, north Texas had an awkward episode of snow (in March). Needless to say, it was more than chilly outside - but Natalie’s a trooper and she managed to look calm and comfortable even though it was not pleasant for her. There was a group getting ready for an event at the club, so we were sure to take advantage of the bathroom for some of our shots. It was a fun time… below are some images from the bridal session (click HERE to see more in a slideshow):

A few weeks ago, I was delighted to shoot engagements for an old school friend, Kasey, and her fiance, Adrian. I knew Kasey back when I was a blonde, permed, overweight, oboe-playing, honors class-going, band geek and Kasey was one of the nicest people to me during a time that I was typically a target of ridicule and I don’t think that she’ll ever know how much her sweet kindness meant to me. I’m happy that Kasey and I have recently reconnected through the glorious wonders of the internet.
Both Adrian and Kasey live in Midland, but were in the area to visit family. I’ll be taking a road trip to San Angelo in May for their wedding - I’m so excited. We had a blast catching up and it was great to finally meet Adrian. Below are some shots from their engagement session (click on any photo below to view a slideshow):

Jeromy and I are now married - we “took the leap” on February 29, 2008. During the week leading up to the wedding, people would ask me if I was nervous. I never felt nervousness, but was more frustrated that I stink at making last minute decisions over little details. I was fortunate to have friends and family around to help with all of the wedding stuff (flowers, guest favors, etc.) and they did a fantastic job with it all. By the time I was standing at the doors, ready to see Jeromy on the other side, everything melted away and I felt a peace that was indescribable.
Our ceremony was short, but we decided that we would read each other letters we had written the night before. Both were heartfelt and emotional and I’ve heard that there was not a dry eye in the whole room. Our reception was late at night and consisted of a dessert buffet and hot chocolate bar. I don’t have my professional wedding photos in yet, but thought I would post the photo above that my mom took with her camera.
I truly feel like the luckiest girl in the world. Jeromiah has been an inspiration and a support to me over the last two and a half years and I couldn’t ask for more. I’ve been touched by the emails I have received from current and past clients wishing me good luck with everything and I feel so blessed to be able to work with so many wonderful couples. One of our groomsmen put together a montage of photos showing the progression of Jeromy’s and my relationship, which can be seen HERE. I felt moved to share it, as he did a great job.
March is proving to be a busy month. I have some great shoots that are in the process of being edited and some fun weddings on the horizon. Please check back soon for some more updates. Thanks again for all of the wonderful thoughts, emails, and support. Married life has been awesome and Jeromy and I couldn’t be happier.

In my chaos of the last couple of months, I acknowledge that I have done a horrible job talking about past weddings. One that I’ve been meaning to blog about for a while is Molly and Josh’s wedding (Click HERE for their engagements and HERE for Molly’s bridals).
Molly is such a pleasure to work with has immediately struck me as a classy gal who keeps her cool. When I showed up to the church, I started snapping away at the girls getting ready before the ceremony. I noticed that all of her bridesmaids had similar color dresses with different styles and I made a remark on how nice it looked. It was then that I learned of one of the worst wedding nightmares imaginable… Molly told me that most of the girls had taken their dresses in to be altered. The day before the wedding, they found out that the alteration place had burned down. That’s right… burned. With the dresses inside. I think that only one dress was not in the shop when it happened. Apparently, the day before the wedding was spent in a flurry trying to get bridesmaids dresses to match the right colors and it all just happened to work out. I couldn’t believe how calm Molly was and that she was just laughing about it the next day - what a lady!
After the sweet ceremony, we headed to the reception. The couple had a live band for music, and they were phenomenal. I found myself getting into the music and having a blast. This fun night finished with extra long sparklers for all of the guests. Below are some photos from Molly and Josh’s magical night (click HERE for the gallery):

It is February already (can you believe it?). I can’t believe that I’m getting married this month! Surprisingly, I’m not stressed or worried about anything. I’d like to think that I’ve been fairly low-key and mellow about everything. Jeromy has been phenomenal help and I couldn’t ask for a better husband-to-be.
In January, I broke away from wedding planning and other such activities and had the opportunity to do an engagement session with Natalie and Chris. We all met up at Prairie Creek Park in Richardson, which is a great spot for photos. Natalie and Chris were troopers - it was pretty cold that afternoon and they had great smiles for me the whole time. This sweet couple is getting married in March and I’m excited to shoot Natalie’s bridals soon. Below are some photos from their eSession (click HERE to see a slide show of selected images):

I have been more than horrible about updating the site as of lately. I hope that everyone had a great holiday season and have nestled into a wonderful 2008 thus far. In December, Jeromy and I found a wonderful house and closed right before Christmas. As much as we love the location and everything, we had a good amount of work for us when we closed. The last several weeks have been spent scraping, peeling, painting, etc. The countertops came in last night and I can’t wait to get them installed this weekend. The flooring that was ordered for the entryway and kitchen is almost two weeks late, so we’ve been walking on concrete for a while. All of my stuff has made it to the house but is not unpacked yet. But that will come.
Jeromy will be moving some of his stuff from storage over soon and will officially move in after the wedding. I can’t believe that Jeromy and I are getting married in 50 days! We got invitations mailed out last weekend, so I’m looking forward to the RSVPs to start rolling in. Life has been incredibly hectic but it’s been great. I’m so blessed to have such wonderful friends and family during this time.
Enough about me… I really would like to try to post some events from late 2007. There have been great bridals, engagements and weddings lately. The gallery has been updated, so feel free to take a peek. In my effort to try to update the site more regularly, I wanted to post some pictures from Krystina and Andrew’s wedding from a few months back. These two have a wonderful story - Krystina went to school across the pond and met Andrew while in college. They fell in love and decided to get married in Weatherford, Texas (she told me that she likes to joke and say that she brought back the ultimate souvenir from her travels).
Everything for the wedding was amazingly beautiful. Many of the guests came all of the way from England, which was awesome! Both Krystina and Andrew’s family are so kind and warm. One of the most touching moments for me was when Krystina danced with her grandfather - you could really see how close they are and just how much they love each other.
I loved how unique the evening was… Ollie, the couples’ dog, served as the ring bearer for the ceremony and all of bridesmaids looked great in their different black dresses. This wedding was truly a sweet celebration of this wonderful couple’s relationship. It was so awesome to see the joy that Krystina and Andrew had together and the passion they exhibit for each other. I am so honored to have been part of Krystina and Andrew’s wedding - the memories are just lovely and I had a blast shooting. Below are some photos from the evening (click HERE to view a slideshow):

I hope that everyone had a great Thanksgiving holiday. I’ve been so behind in my blog posts to talk about recent weddings. I described Heather and Travis’ wedding in September, which was held in Grapevine, Texas, but never posted any pictures from their special evening. Click here for the slide show of images. Heather and Travis enjoyed a cruise for their honeymoon and are loving their new married life together!

Right before the wedding….

Travis immediately after the beautiful ceremony…

The rest of the night was filled with food, laughs, and dancing…

I can’t believe that November is here already! I have tons of great shoots and edits I’m working on and will have some fun events to post soon. One special evening that I can’t wait to get up and posted is Molly and Josh’s wedding, which was held last weekend. Now that their ceremony and reception has passed, I am now happy to publish Molly’s bridal photos from earlier this fall (click here for the full gallery). We went to Molly’s church for her bridal session - I was impressed with the beautiful interior and grounds. It was a blast! Molly has a wonderfully radiant appearance and personality that shines through. Below are some samples from her session:
