When I find a girl who will wear Chuck Taylors with her wedding gown, I kinda get goose bumps. As if the previous cuteness of Sara and Lane has not been enough to send you into a sugar coma (eSession and wedding), take a look at our rockin’ Happily Ever After session in downtown Fort Worth. A persistent wind didn’t faze the couple (and neither did some unfortunate bird poo) and they commenced with gush-worthy glances at each other. I so enjoy working with laid back, casual couples like Sara and Lane who know how to have fun and enjoy each other. Sara is an avid reader (and works at a bookstore), so we were able to do some photos at the nearby Barnes and Noble as well!

There were all sorts of fun additions last year, including Mr. Jaden. I was so impressed with big brothers Colin and Spencer – they are such great helpers and genuinely love their new little brother. We had a blast taking photos in Benbrook. Even though Jaden wasn’t feeling well that day, he was a trooper and the older boys were more than happy to do whatever action shots we needed.
Greg and Maria are incredible parents and are involved with their children. They love being together and their strong bond is evident when you are around them. It is refreshing to see a truly happy family and I felt honored to capture this new chapter in their lives.

I loved having the opportunity to capture Lane and Sara’s winter wonderland wedding. This couple has been such a breeze to work with and their wedding day was fun and effortless. I never saw any indication of stress from anyone involved and this thoughtful couple definitely had a special day.
One thing I really enjoyed about this couple is the fact that they incorporated their own special handshake and a pinky promise into their vows. The whole ceremony fit them perfectly and I know that there will be many years of joy ahead of them.
Lane and Sara – I hope that you are having fun during your first year of marriage and that you both are blessed. Thanks for being so sweet and wonderful to work with!

With all of the oppressive heat and high temperatures, it’s a great time to post some of my favorite sessions from last fall and winter. If it can’t be cool, then at least we can be reminded that these seasons are just right around the corner.
Cue the Williams family. You’ve seen ‘em before, but for this session, there was a new family member – Owen. Liam and Owen were adorable and Ian and Amy were as precious as ever. I consider myself fortunate to be their friend and have learned so much from them.

Let me start out by saying that I want to steal April’s eyes (holy cow – so beautiful). That is all.
From our very first consultation, I fell in love with April and Michael. There is just a “click” that sometimes happens and you know that everything surrounding that couple is just going to rock. April and Michael were married at a private residence and everything that day was gorgeous and perfect. April is one of the most gracious and kind brides I have ever worked with and Michael is such a charming and calm fellow. And they are perfect together. I looked around at all of their guests during the ceremony and I don’t think there was a dry eye to be seen – you could just feel the love and joy everyone feels for this special couple. On a whim, we stopped off at a nearby park before their reception and were able to get some fun couple shots (I’m so happy that they responded well to my “You know what would be fun? … ” remark). I’m so blessed to have clients like April and Michael that evolve into friendship. Shortly after their wedding, the couple found out that they are expecting a little one, which is so exciting! April and Michael – thanks for allowing me to be part of your wedding day and for being so great to work with. Congratulations on your marriage and family in the making!
