It is always one of the biggest honors in the world to capture chapters in my friends’ lives. When I met my husband, Jeromy, he came with an incredible group of friends that I’m happy to say are like family to us. Time has passed and two of those dear friends have recently found darlings of their own (who I adore!!!) and it is so great to see them start down their own “happily ever after” soon. Two sets of buddies will be marching down the aisle in November and I was happy to capture the fan-tab-u-lous David and Lori for an engagement session.

David is as loyal as they get and super kind and giving. He’s the ideal “guy’s guy” with a sensitive side and has been there for both Jeromy and I through thick and thin. We always hoped that David would find a lovely woman to treat him awesome and that he would have someone to share life’s joy with. Lori couldn’t be any more perfect for David. Both of these cuties work for a police department and it didn’t take long for David to notice the drop dead gorgeousness of Lori. A date was arranged and the rest is history. Lori is probably one of the most gracious and classy women I have ever met. She is thoughtful, has superb fashion sense, and is sweet to boot! Together, David and Lori have been an iconic couple and I was tickled pink when they got engaged last year. I am stoked for when they tie the knot this fall and am looking forward to seeing the great life that lies ahead for them.

Lori and David – thanks for your friendship, love, and support. Jeromy and I could not ask for better buddies and we are so so so happy that you guys are going to start your blessed marriage soon. We love you both and know that there are rich years ahead.

Remember a long time ago when we used to get rain? Poor Rebecca and Joe’s eSession kept having weather issues and it seemed like a victory when we were finally able to get together and have a ball at the Arboretum!

It’s not every day that I run across super duper Stars fans that are eager to don their jerseys for part of their engagement session – I was stoked! This precious couple was all smiles and grins for their photos – I loved it! The charming joy they expressed over their wedding plans and relationship was a blessing to witness and experience. I enjoyed the flow of their shoot, as it really just felt like a walk in the gardens with two friends. Rebecca and Joe – I’m so delighted that you guys have found one another and it was such a great experience to work with you both. You are just as cute as can be!

Classic.  Sophisticated.  Elegant.  Courtney and Cody.  They just all flow together.

Shooting Courtney and Cody for their engagements last fall was a dream.  Both of these cuties are a breeze to photograph and are so great to work with.  Courtney and Cody are thoughtful and gracious and work wonderfully together.  It was so fun to soak in Trinity Park with this kind couple and hear their story.  You can’t fake passion and it was clear that they have strong feelings for one another.  I know that they will continue to lift each other up as they continue their warm journey together.

Good thing my gums are strong, or else my teeth would have rotted straight out after experiencing the sheer sweetness of Sara and Lane.  When I showed up to the eSession and both Sara and I were wearing green Chucks, I knew it was going to be a great session.  We shot in the same park that Lane had proposed to Sara in, so there were plenty of smiles and good vibes when recounting the experience.  There is an innocent tenderness to Sara and Lane that just makes you feel good when you are around them.  They are so precious – they even have a special handshake (which they incorporated into their wedding ceremony)!  Click HERE or on a photo below to see Sara and Lane’s engagement session!

When Karen emailed me about what she wanted in a mini eSession with her fiancé, Coby, I knew that they would be an adorable couple to work with. Karen is from Canada and flies to Texas regularly to see Coby. Coby is so much fun to work with and even though he initially wasn’t sure about the whole picture taking thing, he was a great sport and was amazing throughout. These two are playful with one another and I loved working with them! For their shoot, we went to a small park and residential area in Hurst and caught some of the sweet light at the end of the day. The weather was great and we had a blast (except for a brief ant bed incident). A special thank you to Karen and Coby for a fun evening – I wish you the best in your wedding planning! Cari and Michael (and Winston, their precious puppy) are the bomb dot com.  They are bright (mega smart med school students), have marvelous laughs, and are amazing together as a couple.  AND they are doing something awesome for their wedding next year… instead of favors, Cari and Michael are donating funds to the SPCA (how cool is that?!?).

I was thankful for the amazing weather during their eSession in Colleyville.  We just strolled around had a blast talking and soaking up the sun.  Cari’s mother played the role of Super Mom by helping out with touch ups and holding Winston in between his shots.  More than anything, it was so precious to see how Cari and Michael interact with each other.  They are caring and uplift one another in all that they do and I know that they will have an amazing marriage.

I love Kyla and Kyle. For reals, people. These two lovlies are so sweet, so amazing, and so so very kind. When they talked about going to the State Fair for their engagements, I knew we would have fun, but I had no idea how much of a blast we would have. Their dynamic personalities and genuine joy for one another made for easy work on my end. They are gorgeous inside and out and I can’t wait for their wedding next year!

Oh – one of them attended UT and the other is from OU… I’ll let you figure out who went where.

I knew that I would love Valerie and Jason from the minute they walked into Starbucks for our first consultation.  Valerie had an amazing bag (that she made - how cool is she??) and Jason had a happy ease to him that is so much fun to be around. My initial hunch was totally right.  I love how Valerie and Jason totally dig each other – it is so sweet.  Needless to say, I am way excited for Valerie and Jason’s wedding – bright colors, zebra print, and lots of fun will be had.

For their eSession, we spent a beee-autiful and breezy morning in Las Colinas.  I adore the fact that both Valerie and Jason had a high level of enthusiasm throughout their entire session.  They are beautiful peeps inside and out and absolutely a joy to be around.  To see more wonderful goodness from Valerie and Jason, click HERE or on one of the photos below.

I recently attended a photography workshop put on by Gauper Photo.  First off – I love Ryan and Holly!  They have a fun style, do amazing work, and are as lovely as they come.  The workshop was fantastic and I benefitted a ton from going.

Towards the end of the day, we all went on a shoot.  Originally, a model was lined up for our group but it didn’t work out at the last minute.  SO, we were fortunate enough to shoot Kamille and Bradley, who are recently engaged (and adorable to boot!).  Through some luck and genius, access to a theater costume storage area was obtained and they found some fun clothing for the session.  We shot in the Deep Ellum area and it was a blast.  Kamille and Bradley are naturals in front of the camera (or 8 cameras!) and are a gorgeous couple (who needs a model?).  It was fun getting to know them and we all enjoyed taking in the sweet giddiness they both exhibit for each other.  Kamille is a dancer and even busted out some jumps and spins for us.  Um, awesome!  It was so fun to watch other photographers at work and to be able to learn and grow.  I am stoked that we were able to work with Kamille and Bradley – they are so fun and I love their sweet innocence.  Thanks again to Ryan and Holly for sharing their knowledge (and making it so darn fun) and a special congrats to Kamille and Bradley during this exciting time together!

Oh Miss Codie and Mister Steven… where to begin with you two crazy kids?  I love you both – you made my mouth hurt from the laughs and good times we had at your eSession.  I love that you two are simply yourselves and truly “get” each other.  I love that you didn’t think twice about scampering up a rocky hill when I mentioned that it might be a cool shot.  I love that you are kind and thoughtful in what you say and do.  I love that you are sweet with just a bit of saucy.  I just love you guys.  And I totally cannot wait until your wedding this August!  Thanks for an enjoyable time and for being simply wonderful.
