I’m so excited to be able to finally post Valerie’s gorgeous bridals! Valerie had her bridals back in June – which if you recall, was a pretty toasty time. It was blazing hot. I am convinced that Valerie has magic super powers to always look stunning, because while I (and everyone else I observed at the gardens walking around) was pouring buckets of gross sweat, Valerie’s hair and makeup looked amazing from beginning to end (which was so awesome – I was so afraid she was going to melt that day!). Valerie is drop dead gorgeous and she’s just as sweet and bubbly as can be. I love shooting with her and her fantastic personality.

Valerie’s dad wins the coolest father-of-the-bride award. Hands down. First – he came with Valerie’s mom to the bridal session. Usually, the menfolk will find some reason to not be part of the estrogen-filled bridal-palooza session (understandable). So showing up got him mega cool dad points. But it didn’t stop there – he was totally an active participant along with Valerie’s cute mom – adjusting Valerie’s dress, laying down the white sheet, holding the bouquet, etc. Im-pressed. He even found an air-conditioned spot to cool off at on the way back to the car (which was totally appreciated by heavy-dress wearing Valerie and seven-month preggo me). They are such a cute family and I could just bottle them all up! It was such a fun session and I’m so blessed to have gorgeous brides (both inside and out) like Valerie to work with.

You might remember the lovely Jennifer from last year … she had opted for post wedding bridals, but it seemed some force was always against us, whether it be the weather or other events beyond control.  A while back, we were finally able to get together at the Fort Worth Botanic Gardens to take her bridals and sweet Raul came along to also get in some of the shots (much like a “Happily Ever After” session).

Married life has been great to both Jennifer and Raul – they seemed just as happy and playful as they were on their wedding day and I so love working with them both.  A special thanks to this loving couple for a fun morning!

Ever since Tara and John’s eSession earlier this year, I had been looking forward to Tara’s bridal session. In every aspect of the word, Tara is a sweetheart. She’s always smiling and has a twinkle in her eye (which makes her that much more fun to photograph). Tara, her cute mom, and I went to the Rose Garden (Fort Worth Botanic Gardens) for the session. It was humid to say the least and I think Tara kept getting attacked by bugs, but she was a trooper with it all. We got some gorgeous shots and I’m in the process of working on she and John’s wedding right now (which I can’t wait to post!). Tara’s mom was a super help and kept Tara’s dress adjusted and held flashes.

Jena’s bridals were done at the Lockheart Gables Bed and Breakfast in Fort Worth, a gorgeous venue with lovely service. The surroundings of the location fit in with Jena’s elegant dress and made for an incredible session. I love Jena so much… her smile is ah-ma-zing! I can’t help but to light up every time I see it (even just going through her photos, I was beaming). The pink floral shoes that Jena sported with her dress were gorgeous and served as a personal touch to tie in with her wedding colors and reflect her kind disposition.

Jena is lucky to have a sweet sister who drove quite a distance to help out with her bridals. She was such a great sport about holding my flash, throwing petals, and making Jena laugh the whole way through. Towards the end of the session, I made a comment about Jena’s cool bouquet and Jena told me that she made it – furthering the case that she is a creative bride that has incorporated her essence into every detail (which I love!).

First off – I have been WAY lame about keeping up with posts. There are some really great weddings and sessions that will be coming to the blog, so please bear with me. One of the weddings that are exporting as I type are Natalie and Blake’s beautiful evening at the Gaylord Texan. Natalie had her bridal session at and around their ceremony area and it was a ton of fun!

Natalie is such a laid-back, SWEET bride and she is stunning both in pictures and in person. Her awesome mom came along for the bridal session and was a great dress-mover, flash-holder, veil-adjuster, etc. Even more – Natalie’s mom was the source of many smiles and laughs for the bride-to-be. Both of these women are adorable and have a wonderful bond that was a joy to be around. Natalie has the most wonderful laugh and is a classic beauty. Below are a sampling of Natalie’s bridals. A couple of weeks ago, I met up with Sotheavy at the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary campus for her bridal session. It was threatening to rain, so we tried to keep as “covered” as we could. We had a blast traveling from spot to spot between sprinkles and even found a beautiful sculpture of the earth, which was very fitting for this girl who is truly “on top of the world.”  Below are some samples (click HERE for a slide show):
