Last night, I had the pleasure of shooting Heather and Travis’ wedding. This couple is wonderfully playful, which couldn’t help but to come out in their engagement session images.

Both the ceremony and reception were held at the Cross Timbers Winery in Grapevine, Texas. I had never been there before and was delighted to shoot at such a fun site. The weather was perfect for their evening outdoor ceremony and it was great to see such a large group so enthusiastic for these two people to join together. On the site, there is a large barn that has been converted for events - between the upstairs and downstairs area, it accomodated all of their guests comfortably. The colors for the event were black and white - from the cake to the gown, it all coordinated beautifully. When it came time to dance, everyone was on the floor having a great time.

My favorite part of the evening was during the dinner when the toasts were made - you could really tell how special the bond between Heather and Travis was. Every speech given about the couple was heartfelt and I found myself chuckling along with all of the jokes.
