Natalie and Blake were married at the gorgeous Gaylord Texan in Grapevine on a beautiful April day. When I walked in to see the bride getting ready, there was such a wonderful calmness and serenity throughout the room. Everyone was happy, pleasant, and ready for a special day. Natalie is one of the kindest, most thoughtful brides out there and her attention to detail was present in every turn at the wedding. Blake was a very laid back groom and was all smiles from beginning to end. I could see his love for Natalie every time he glanced at her and it was clear that these two have a special passion for each other.
It was evident by the ceremony and reception that Natalie and Blake have a strong network of family and friends that were delighted at this union and supported the start of their new life together. There were tons of people on the dance floor all night long and laughs coming from every direction.
A warm thanks to Natalie and Blake for the great experience to be part of their wedding! Also, a special shout out to Katie, my second shooter, who did a fantastic job that evening! To see a slide show of Natalie and Blake’s wedding, click HERE or on one of the photos below:

First off - I have been WAY lame about keeping up with posts. There are some really great weddings and sessions that will be coming to the blog, so please bear with me. One of the weddings that are exporting as I type are Natalie and Blake’s beautiful evening at the Gaylord Texan. Natalie had her bridal session at and around their ceremony area and it was a ton of fun!
Natalie is such a laid-back, SWEET bride and she is stunning both in pictures and in person. Her awesome mom came along for the bridal session and was a great dress-mover, flash-holder, veil-adjuster, etc. Even more - Natalie’s mom was the source of many smiles and laughs for the bride-to-be. Both of these women are adorable and have a wonderful bond that was a joy to be around. Natalie has the most wonderful laugh and is a classic beauty. Below are a sampling of Natalie’s bridals. In the grand tradition of Texas, Tara and John’s eSession had a bit of the unexpected when it came to the weather. In the days leading up to their engagements, it had been warm and pleasant, so we thought nothing of meeting in the morning to bust out some great photos. Boy… were we wrong. What we thought was going be a pleasant day turned into a super chilly/windy morning. This didn’t stop Tara and John from letting their sweet personalities shine through and getting some fun shots (even though I know Tara was frozen solid).
I encourage everyone to flip through their slide show (click HERE) and see how these two just ooze sweetness. They really are as genuine as they appear and I’m looking forward to shooting their wedding on August 1st. Both Tara and John completely light up when they look at each other and you can’t help but to get the warm fuzzies when you’re around this pair. Thanks for fighting through the chilly day, you guys!

Jessica and John’s wedding was AWESOME… I could probably write on and on about this special couple, but I’ll try to limit myself and hit the highlights. First off - Jessica and John’s daughter, Annabelle, completely melted me from the get-go when I saw her walk in with her little green Chuck Taylors on. She continued to be a dear to work with (even kindly offered me some of her cracker) and is probably one of the best flower girls I’ve seen to date.
Jessica put so much of herself into this wedding. She made the gorgeous flower arrangements, bouquets, favors, etc. It was so amazing - Jessica is definitely mega talented and the wedding definitely reflected her and John’s classic style. Even the mini veil that Jessica sported - so darling and perfect! The love the Jessica and John feel for each other and their sweet little girl is overwhelmingly evident. Jessica was just minutes away from getting into her gown and she still found time to chase Annabelle around on the floor. They are such attentive parents and are an amazing family.
The ceremony and reception were beautiful - everything went smooth and as planned. Both sides of the family were a delight to be around and chat with. The countless looks and glances exchanged between Jessica and John showed that these to definitely have “it” and are a special couple. Jessica, John, and Annabelle - thanks so much for a fun and memorable night! To see a mini slide show of Jessica and John’s wedding, click HERE or on one of the photos below.

Melissa and David are getting married in St. Lucia in a matter of months but they wanted to get some engagement photos done here at home. This couple has THE SWEETEST love story ever… Melissa was taking tennis lessons from David and after a lengthy time of being friends and building a solid relationship, they finally started to date. It wasn’t long before David popped the question to Melissa at Five Sixty, the restaurant located in Reunion Tower. We definitely had to get some shots with this special place in the background and then we headed to the Dallas Arboretum for the rest of their shoot.
This couple is so wonderful and fun to work with - their attitudes are upbeat and their love for each other is so precious. I LOVE being around these two people and wish them all the best on their upcoming wedding and marriage! When I first met with Shay, I knew she was unique - she loves color and angles and is a photographer’s dream to work with. She and her fiance, Miles, wanted an edgy, urban feel to their engagements so we headed to downtown Fort Worth for their session. Despite the relentless wind, we found some great spots and both Shay and Miles worked it in front of the camera. May 15th is this couples’ wedding date, so we were delighted to find some corresponding numbers to play with (addresses, parking spot numbers, etc.). A special thanks to my husband, Jeromy, who came along for this session and managed to get some fun shots. Jennifer and Raul were one of the calmest and mellow couples I have worked with. Raul spent the time before the ceremony with his groomsmen in front of the church. It was all smiles as he welcomed guests and talked with family members. Jennifer was in a great mood and nothing could phase her. Jennifer’s girls proved to be quite resourceful… when she needed a “something blue,” someone found some blue string to tie on to her garter. Even though a bridesmaid had a broken shoe strap just minutes before going down the aisle, nobody skipped a beat and all was well.
Jennifer and Raul had a lovely ceremony and followed up the evening with a hoppin’ reception in Arlington. This couple is all giggles and laughs, and it’s evident that they truly enjoy being around each other. Congratulations to Jennifer and Raul and their loving families! Wow. The colors, the love, and the pure emotions experienced at Rachel and Timothy’s wedding were absolutely marvelous. First off - I think Rachel is one of the prettiest brides I’ve ever seen in my life. Her poise and natural grace made her absolutely breathtaking (I’m pretty sure Timothy will agree with me on this). And the cupcake tower turned out so cute!
When I met Rachel and her mom during our consultation many moons ago, Rachel made one thing very clear - the “kiss” shot was of utmost importance to her, and with good reason. Rachel and Timothy’s “first kiss” at the end of the ceremony was their first kiss - EVER. I made sure to include plenty of kissing shots after the ceremony, which the newlyweds didn’t mind at all. Rachel and Timothy have such a supportive group of family and friends, and I could feel the love and pride everyone felt for this sweet couple. Since we were a little pressed for time, I met up with the couple after their official “exit” to grab some outdoor shots next to their church.
I encourage everyone to click HERE and go through Rachel and Timothy’s slide show. It was truly an honor and joy to capture the events of this special day for two very lovely people.

I am constantly amazed at the inner and outer beauty of my clients. I don’t know how I keep managing to photograph some of the prettiest people in the DFW area, but I’ve noticed a pattern with all the couples I’ve worked with. Kelli and Dustin are a great example of this - not only are they super gorgeous, but they are both as generous and thoughtful as they can possibly be.
For Kelli and Dustin’s engagements, we headed to Reunion Ranch (the site of their upcoming wedding) in Terrell. The location was fantastic! I had never been to this venue before, but there is so much to see and do. We just all headed off in a direction and would take snaps when we came up on something. I don’t know why, but I realized that most of my favorites from this set involve kissing… maybe these two are just great kissers! After this lively session at such an amazing location, I’m definitely looking forward to their wedding! To see a slide show of Kelli and Dustin, click HERE or on one of the photos below.

For Ellen and Robert’s engagement session, we all piled up and did a “drive around” in the Grapevine and Colleyville area. It was a super chilly morning, but both Ellen and Robert were troopers and had fun with each other the whole way. It can probably be seen through the photos, but these two are SO stinkin’ sweet and adorable with each other!
